"The facade is to be updated and made consistent throughout the building. The historic building is emphasized. An addition accommodates barrier-free access, an elevator and an increase in office and retail space.
Safety is ensured with a louvered south-facing support structure and doors do not swing onto the sidewalk. Garbage and transformers are no longer visible from the street. Canopies cover each entrance and nighttime lighting warms the outdoor space."
