Community Council approved United Gulf’s development agreement for the former High School site in February of 2012. Starting in 2007, United Gulf engaged members of the local Fairview community to discuss community aspirations for the site. We listened to their desires: In our mixed-use proposal twenty five percent of the site will consist of a public park that will feature a children’s playset, trail, shade trees, and park benches.
A number of sustainable elements are incorporated into the design, including rooftop terraces, grey water systems as well as the potential for geothermal heating and cooling. "
